What’s a tetrahedron? The name may sound complicated, but we see these structures all the time in our daily lives.
To put it simply, a tetrahedron is when 4 triangles come together to form a triangular pyramid.

The inherent rigidity of these structures make tetrahedrons a common feature of spaceframes. But we haven’t yet seen these shapes used in folding bike frames… until now.

Tetra is more than just a beautiful bike. This is the future of performance and convenience, made by hand with human ingenuity.



A bike that folds once lets you minimize storage space in cramped urban spaces. But a bike that folds beyond the ordinary?
We’ve just opened a brand new realm of possibilities.
First, the rear wheel folds forward, reducing vertical bulk by half.

Then, the bridge folds backward, further reducing the vertical bulk.

For our third fold, the long triangular piece slots into the front, acting as a 3rd hinge. This is part of Analog Machine Works’ patented design innovation.

Finally, the handlebar folds downwards, completing the Tetra-fold process.

Your bike is now folded into a highly compact size for easy transport and storage.




Most foldable bikes use plastic blocks instead of a real shock absorber. But our unique, patented linkage-shock system lets us use a high quality hydraulic shock absorber that intuitively folds with your bike.

To bring our folded-yet-powerful structures to life, the tubular space frame was a natural choice.


At its core, Tetra is a precise hinge arrangement that requires powerful moving parts. The tubular space-frame structure was essential to bringing this vision to life.

Now, after years of refinement, we’ve successfully engineered this complex structure to preserve rigidity, all while achieving a distinctive and elegant form.

The Tetra-fold System™ is our patented design innovation that allows for one additional fold in the bridge of the bike.
The bridge is comprised of 2 opposite-facing tetrahedrons. These pieces come together during the folding process, folding the bridge completely and enabling our 3rd key fold.



Linkage-Shock System ™
Tetra’s shock absorber is linked to the rear wheel, allowing the two parts to fold together in what we call a Linkage-Shock System™. This is what lets us use a much better suspension than conventional folding bikes.



Step 1. Swing the rear wheel down.
Step 2. Lower the seatpost.
Step 3. Release the two clamp levers and swing the front wheel aside.
Step 4. Align the wheels side by side.
Step 5. Fold the handlebar down to complete the folding process.

Tetra is made in South Korea. Though your country may be exempt from customs fees, the following charges may apply:
Customs handling fees: Service charges collected by the carrier, freight forwarder, or customs broker for handling customs clearance on your behalf.
Import VAT: Tax imposed on import goods based on national policy.
Please be aware that any import duties or tariffs related to reward shipment are the responsibility of the backer, not Analog Machine Works or Kickstarter. We encourage you to look up your country’s customs policy on products made in South Korea before backing our project.
For U.S. backers, import duties, tariffs, taxes, customs brokerage fees, or handling charges may be collected by the carrier at the time of delivery. These charges are determined by U.S. import regulations and carrier procedures, and are not included in the pledge or shipping fee.
