Working Mechanism of Ultrasonic Cutter
The working principle of an ultrasonic cutter is based on ultrasonic vibrations, which enable precise cutting through high-frequency oscillations. This technology is widely used in both medical and industrial fields.

There are six main systems in a complete ultrasonic cutter:
1. Cutting Blade
- Function: Under ultrasonic vibration, the blade transmits minute, high-frequency vibrations to the cutting area to cut materials.
- Purpose: Cuts tissue or material with high frequency vibrations, reducing cutting force and increasing cutting speed.
Here are 9 common blades on the market, but these are the only ones that really work and work well.

2. Ultrasonic Booster
- Function: Amplifies the amplitude and energy of the vibrations, allowing the blade’s vibrations to achieve the required cutting effect.
- Purpose: The booster amplifies the ultrasonic vibrations from the transducer, converting low amplitude signals into higher amplitude vibrations to generate sufficient cutting force.

3. Ultrasonic Transducer
- Function: Generates high frequency electrical signals, typically between 20kHz and 60kHz, and converts them into ultrasonic vibrations.
- Purpose: The transducer is the core component of the ultrasonic cutting system, converting electrical energy into mechanical energy, which is then transmitted to the cutting blade.

4. Control Circuit
- Function: Provides and regulates the voltage and current signals required by the transducer.
- Purpose: Ensures stable voltage output to maintain consistent operation of the ultrasonic generator and transducer.

5. Cooling System
- Function: Uses temperature sensors to monitor the internal temperature of the handle and uses an air cooling system to cool the handle.
- Purpose: Stabilizes the continuous output of the cutter, preventing overheating that could affect the vibration efficiency of the transducer and blade, extending their life.

6. Additional Systems
- Function: Provides a real time display of the operating parameters, the work indicator light and the work light.
- Purpose: Enhances user experience with display of critical performance data and illumination for greater precision during operation.

Our 2-in-1 Powerful Ultrasonic Cutter and Polisher supports precise cutting, grinding, and polishing.
For commonly used 3D printing materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, Resin, Nylon, TPU, and others:
- Cutting Thickness: 1 - 12mm
- Cutting Speed: Up to 60mm per second
- Cutting Quality: Produces smooth cuts with minimal melting or distortion.

For harder materials such as hard plastics, metals, gemstones, jewellery, shells and hardwoods:
- Sanding Speed: Fast and efficient, with results you can see.

The ultrasonic cutter is fast and effective for polishing small areas. However, due to the small contact area of the polishing stick, it is not ideal for large area polishing where high precision is required.

Our current range of five blade types is designed to cover almost all daily cutting requirements. Each type of blade gives different cutting results, depending on its design and purpose. Similarly, the cutting speed can vary significantly depending on the material being cut and its properties.

What Is The UC01?
There are 4 operating modes for the handle settings:

Mode #1: Auto Mode
- The ultrasonic cutter will switch to automatic cutting mode when the Mode Button is pushed to the Auto Mode position.
- In this state, it will run directly, thus enabling uninterrupted cutting operation without having to keep the Inching Switch pressed. In this mode, it has a strong output and is suitable for cutting harder materials.
Mode #2: Off Mode
- When the Mode Button is pushed to the Off Mode position, the ultrasonic cutter will stop running.
- In this state, pressing the Inching Switch will not produce ultrasonic vibration output. This safety feature prevents accidental activation of the cutter, reducing the risk of injury caused by unintended operation.
Mode #3: Low Mode
- When the Mode Button is pushed to the Low Mode position, the ultrasonic cutter will switch to manual cutting mode.
- In this state, you need to keep pressing the Inching Switch to get the ultrasonic output. It will have a weaker output in this mode and is suitable for cutting softer materials.
Mode #4: High Mode
- When the Mode Button is pushed to the High Mode position, the ultrasonic cutter will switch to manual cutting mode.
- In this state, you need to keep pressing the Inching Switch to get the ultrasonic output. In this mode, its output will be strong and suitable for cutting harder materials.
There are different light modes for the handle settings:

- The front work light stays on when the cutter is in cutting mode and turns off for 2 seconds when not in cutting mode.
- In Auto Mode, a blue light circle appears around the Inching Switch button.
- In Off Mode, no light is displayed around the Inching Switch button.
- In both Low Mode and High Mode, a green light circle is displayed around the Inching Switch button.
- When the on-screen temperature parameter shows that the Usable Hours bar on the cutter is nearly depleted, a cyan light circle flashes around the Inching Switch button. This indicates that the power should be turned off, and the handle needs a few minutes to cool before it can be used again.
Parameter Information that is displayed on the screen:

- When the cutter is powered on, the screen displays Mode (A,0,1,2) Information.
- When in Auto Mode (A), No need to press the Inching Switch, the screen will automatically jump to the cutter's usable hours display bar after 2 seconds, which will show the remaining available hours as you continue to cut with the cutter.
- When in Off Mode (0), the screen does not change when you press the Inching Switch.
- When the Mode are in Low Mode (1) and High Mode (2), pressing the Inching Switch will cause the screen to jump directly to the cutter's usable hours display bar, which will show the remaining available hours as you continue to work cuts with the cutter.
Introduction to temperature control and product standby:

- A high sensitivity Temperature Sensor and a current stabilizing MOS are installed inside the cutter to detect and control the heat generated by the sensor and booster circuits inside the cutter. When the internal temperature exceeds 75°C, the cutter protectively shuts down and cools down for approximately 1 to 3 minutes before it can be used again.
- When the Mode Button is in Auto Mode, the cutter automatically starts the cutting program. Although there is no load, heat is slowly generated inside the cutter. When you are not using the cutter for cutting, push the Mode Button to Off Mode to extend the cutter's usable time and protect the life of the cutter's transducer.
- When the Mode Button is in Off Mode, the cutter won't respond even if you press the Inching Switch. If you don't do anything with the cutter within 10 minutes, it will turn off automatically.
- When the Mode Button is in Low Mode and High Mode, the cutter will only start the cutting program if the Inching Switch is pressed. If the Inching Switch is not pressed, it will be in standby mode, at which time it will not generate any heat.
- We have designed two Square Cooling Holes on each side of the machine's Mode Button. Normally, the cooling holes will not cause burns, but be careful not to get especially close to the soft parts of the body, such as the eyes.
The UC01 cutter supports two types of power supply:
The UC01 cutter is a 30W ultrasonic power unit with a rated input voltage and current of 15V and 2A. If the input voltage and current are below this value, the ultrasonic power of the cutter may decrease, resulting in reduced cutting ability or even inability to cut.

1.3 What Conditions Can Cause the rated input voltage and current to drop?
- Your power supply doesn't support the Type-C interface.
- Your power supply can't deliver 15V2A power.
- Your power supply can't deliver stable 15V2A power.
- Your current power supply is a misleading 15V2A power.
1.4 What Problems Occur when the rated input voltage and current are not met?

- Reduced Cutting Ability
- Significant Reduction in Cutting Ability
- Abnormal Ultrasonic Generation Status
- Displayed Cutting Ability But Unable To Cut
- These Conditions Can Result in Reduced Transducer Life
1.5 To Address These Issues, we recommend the purchase of our fast charger.
- This AC charger is a 35W GaN Fast Charging Plug and is fully compliant with the power compliance policy for this different power system.
- If your 35w charging plug can't actually support a true 15V=2A power output, it will result in the UC01 cutter not being able to utilize it's ture cutting capabilities.
- The different power systems in different regions, we have equipped 5 types of AC charging plugs, American, British, European, Australian and Japanese, for all backers to add-on.
- There are 2 reward tier add-on options for the same 35W GaN Fast Charging Plug in our add-ons, they are the same charger, just different prices.
- In the end, we can only solve these problems by splitting the content of the reward tier and using the optimal strategy of low price limit.
How to Replace the Blade?

- Step 1 - Turn off the child lock switch
- Step 2 - Take out the hex wrench
- Step 3 - Loosen the fastening screws
- Step 4 - Remove the blade with gloves
- Step 5 - Replace the blade and tighten the screws
- Step 6 - Put back the accessories to the blade cover

Technical Problems with Ultrasonic Cutter
1.1 Are other blades compatible with this cutter?

- Real ultrasonic cutter will be customized according to the technical parameters of the required blade, blade material, length and thickness, the length of the edge, and the degree of fit of the blade chuck will affect or seriously affect the vibration frequency of ultrasonic!
- If you can get the exact same size blade, you could theoretically use another blade to make the cut.
- However, in practice, standard and custom blades are not exactly the same, so if you use another blade to cut, the cutting ability of the cutter may be affected. This usually manifests itself as a decrease in cutting ability or even an inability to cut.
- Of course, you can replace the other blades to test if they are usable under the premise that the ultrasonic cutter can cut properly.
1.2 Why choose tool steel over tungsten steel for the blade?
- In the high-value manual cutting operations, cutting accuracy and speed, kerf flatness, continuous cutting usable time is the core requirements of the ultrasonic cutter!
- The ultrasonic cutter cutting material mainly by high frequency vibration, and the blade is only a medium to cause the incision.
- Tool steel and tungsten steel blades made of high frequency vibration, in the process of cutting wood test, the use of the degree of loss caused by almost the same.
- The material cost and processing cost of tungsten steel is higher than that of tool steel, and the additional cost will ultimately be passed on to the backer.
1.3 Why design ultrasonic cutters with cords instead of cordless?
- In the current environment of technological development, the corded version of the current ultrasonic cutter has more cutting ability and longer available cutting hours than the cordless version with the same power output.
- In the choice of machine batteries, from the principle of boosting circuit, we found that if you use a 3000mah 4.0V lithium power battery (such as 18650) boosted to 11.1V (the minimum voltage of the transducer work), the ultrasonic cutting machine heat will be sharply increased in 40 seconds, many times after the use of lithium power battery life will be reduced by more than 50%. However, if the current is used to control the heat, the cutting ability will be greatly affected.
- Then, if we use three 4.2V lithium polymer batteries (such as 102050) connected in series to 12.6V as the power supply of the cutter, and then use the boost circuit to raise the operating voltage to 12V or 15V (low and high mode), the ultrasonic cutter's heat in 10 minutes increased insignificantly, and the life of lithium polymer batteries is almost unaffected. However, due to the use of three batteries in series, the battery capacity if you want to achieve the normal endurance level of 3000mah, the volume of the ultrasonic cutter and must be increased a lot.

Product Parameter and Maintenance
- Designed for one-handed operation. Handle dimensions are 180 x 31.8 x 31.8 mm.
- The shell of the handle is CNC machined from a 6061 aluminum alloy.
- The blades are made of SK5 steel for better toughness and are suitable for precision cutting.

How to maintain and take care of the products
- You can dry the handle with a damp cloth if there is sweat on it.
- If not used for an extended period of time, it is recommended that the blade be removed and oiled to prevent rust.

Product Shipping Costs
Reward Options - Shipping Destination
- We support worldwide shipping, but there will be very few addresses that do not have direct logistics channels due to the electrified product and will need to be routed through a third party address. In the first few projects there have been 3 cases of this situation.
- When this happens, we generally have 2 solutions, the first is to use a third party address for redirection, or the second is to issue a full refund to the backer.
- For the vast majority of destinations, shipping standard is currently US$ 10, and will likely stack up if you add multiple reward tiers!
- However, for a few addresses, charges may vary—some might be $3 to $5 lower, while others could be $2 to $10 higher due to factors such as remote locations, limited logistics options or only DHL. For the exact cost, please refer to your final expense invoice.
Reward Options - Recipient Information
In addition to providing the recipient's name, address, state, zip code, and phone number when completing the backer survey of the end-of-project, additional customs declaration information is required for the following destinations:
- Brazilian (BR) backers need to provide a complete CPF or CNPJ code for package import customs clearance.
- Chilean (CL) backers will be required to provide RUT code and Phone Number for package import customs clearance.
